Magic, once locked away from the world has been restored to humanity. It is a force that does not descriminate between right and wrong. The people who weild it must police themeselves. In order to restore order certain individuals have been brought together by a force some would call chance, others would call it fate or destiny. In the case of AGENDA it was Patterson's Retreat. A hospital for the mentally challenged, located in Patterson, New York... Not exactly Kismet. |

Case file 0100964: Jack Sizemore has been a resident of Patterson's Retreat for over 8 months now, his condition has remained unchanged for the entire time. He has not spoken a word in any of our meetings nor have any of the orderlies reported hearing him speak. All examinations show that his vocal chords are in tact and he should physically be able to speak but will not. One of the orderlies report hearing humming when he passed Jack's room but that has yet to be substantiated. I was ordered by the head doctor to discharge Jack, however I am reluctant to do so. He has no signs that he suffers from any malady beyond his refusal to speak, since he checked himself in he is free to leave at any time, but he has a calming influence on the other residents so it is my feeling that he should be allowed to stay as long as he likes. |
