Background:

Orphaned at a very young age Stokes was brought up by her grandmother.  Of all the Ann's she has had the hardest life.  Everything she has ever had has been taken from her.  She began fencing at a young age and was discovered to be very good.  However on the way to the Olympics at age 18 her Grandmother passed away.  She lost interest in fencing.   With the death of her Grandmother dead she was forced to pay off some of her debt so everything that was left to her ended up going to pay off back taxes.  In order to make ends meet she has been working as a waitress at a coffee shop.
